Stephen E. Brown

Stephen E. Brown, 58, of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

He graduated from Cedar Cliff High School in 1976. He was a retired Purchasing Agent with the Commonwealth of PA, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Harrisburg. Prior to that he was employed by Penn-Mo Fire Brick for 30 years. Steve was a member of VFW Post 7530, Lower Allen Twp., American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates fan. But more than anything, Steve loved his family and was a loving husband, son, brother and uncle.

Steve was born in Bristol, PA to Doris A. (Bush) Brown of Littleton, CO and the late Edward J. Brown. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward F. and David A. Brown.

He is survived by his wife of more than 32 years, Sandra J. Milus; his mother; his sisters, Julia A. Nendza and husband Robert of Minneapolis, MN and Jennifer M. Nason and husband Ronald; brother-in-law Craig Milus and wife Denise; and mother-in-law Jean Milus, all of Mechanicsburg; and six nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered for his good, fun-loving spirit and his casual, strong accepting attitude even during his courageous battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed by his family and all of his closest friends who were with him through his journey.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
