Stylianos "Steve" Arhontakis

April 15, 1934 — December 27, 2021

Stylianos (Steve) Arhontakis of Enola, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2021, at the age of 87 at UPMC West Shore Hospital.

Steve was born in Chania, Crete, Greece on April 15, 1934 to Frangisco and Eleftheria Arhontakis. The youngest of eight children, Steve was a veteran of the Greek Army. He immigrated to the United States to pursue the “American Dream” with the love of his life, Ekaterina (Kathy), in 1970. Steve and Kathy were blessed with three children; George, Rachel, and Frank. He worked hard to ensure his children and family had opportunities for a better life. Steve was a respected and beloved tailor by trade for over 50 years and retired from Boscov’s in Camp Hill after 23 years of service. Steve was a dedicated and faithful parishioner of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. He enjoyed the simple things in life like spending time with his family, watching his favorite soccer team (Panathinaikos), enjoying Greek coffee, and going to the beach. Steve and his wife often visited Greece to spend time with their extended families and enjoy the local nightlife. His pride and joy were his grandchildren. He was always quick with a joke and loved being surrounded by family. His smile and kind gestures will be missed by many. May the Lord receive his kind soul in His Kingdom and may the Lord comfort the hearts of his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy of 57 years; children George (Sherri) Arhontakis, Rachel (Reagan) Fruth, and Frank (Adrienne) Arhontakis; grandchildren J.R., Holden, Emily, Taylor, Athena and Phoebe; and many nieces and nephews.

Due to current extraordinary circumstances, private services were held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Steve’s memory to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1000 Yverdon Drive, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
