Tambara "Tami" Gregg Swartzell

Tambara “Tami” Gregg Swartzell, 61, of New Cumberland, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital.

She was a 1977 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, Mechanicsburg where she was a majorette and Barbizon School of Modeling, Harrisburg. Tami initially worked with Fred S. James Co., Camp Hill, went on to work for Dr. Capella in Mechanicsburg, then to DLA, Fairview Twp. before retiring from NAVSUP/BSC, Hampden Twp. as a Human Resource Specialist. She enjoyed “everything flowers” and worked part-time with Blooms by Vickery, Camp Hill. Her home was always filled with fresh and silk flowers. Additionally, Tami was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill.

She was born November 15, 1959 in Harrisburg, daughter of the late Donald and Dolores (Hammaker) Gregg, Sr.

Tami is survived by her loving husband W. Scott Swartzell; brothers, Stanley Gregg (Sharon) of Mechanicsburg, Rodney Gregg (Lisa) of Shermansdale and Donnie Gregg, Jr. (Rachael) of Carlisle; and three nieces.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, 11/6/21 in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1610 Carlisle Rd. Camp Hill. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
