William Charles Chilcote

William Charles Chilcote, 80, of Lisburn, Mechanicsburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in his residence.

He was a retired trucker with Preston Trucking, Strinestown and a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God, Dillsburg. He was a member of the Lisburn Fire Company and enjoyed bowling, hunting and softball.

Bill was born in Tell Twp., Huntingdon County to the late Lawrence and Mary (Goshorn) Chilcote. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Cathy Miller and a sister Mae Kline.

He is survived by his wife of more than 58 years Evelyn D. (Fitzgerald) Chilcote; children, Stanley L. Chilcote and wife Barb of Carlisle, Brenda S. Rudy of Enola and Ruth J. Freed and husband Charles of Dillsburg; siblings, Calvin Chilcote of Dry Run, Ralph Chilcote of Chambersburg, Russell Chilcote of St. Thomas, Emma Middaugh of Doylestown and Darlene Wible of Chambersburg; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a great-great grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, March 9, 2018 in Mt. Pleasant Church of God, 146 S. York Rd. Dillsburg, PA 17019 with Pastor Zachary Wilt officiating. Viewing will be from 9-10 am Friday in the church. Burial will be in Book / Shade Valley Union Cemetery, Tell Twp., PA.
