William M. Kerr

William M. “Bill” Kerr of Camp Hill died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Harrisburg Hospital.

He was in management for the former Bowman’s Department Store that was locally owned. He then opened a women’s specialty clothing store, Forty West Ltd. In Mechanicsburg, PA and Loveladies Sportswear in Loveladies, NJ on Long Beach Island. He was a 1961 Graduate of Gettysburg College with a degree in Business. He was a member of St. Timothy Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill. He enjoyed the beach, spending time with his granddaughters, horseshows, and refinishing antiques.

He was born February 11, 1939 in Clearfield to the late Foster W. and Mary (Mann) Kerr. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, James, John, and Richard. He was the youngest of sixty-three cousins.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years Carolyn Maguire Kerr; a daughter, Dr. Heather Henry (Shaun) of Camp Hill; and two granddaughters, Katelyn and Lauren.

Visitation will be from 10am until funeral services at 11am Wednesday at St. Timothy Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.

Pratt St., Suite 1700, Baltimore, MD 21202, checks made payable to Johns Hopkins University-in memory of William Kerr, or his church, 4200 Carlisle Pike, Camp Hill, PA 17011 or Fredricksen Library, Pollock Children’s Library, 100 N. 19th Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011 to support activities that his grandchildren participated in.
