Wilna Jo Stoner Walters

Wilna Jo Stoner Walters, 91, of Elmcroft of Dillsburg, formerly of Lewisberry left us to be with the Lord on July 22, 2021.

We were all blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Jo in her 91 years, among them: the foil is in the dishwasher, the keys are on the driver’s seat, always leave a fresh one in the commode, the volume on the TV only goes to 100, and of course, lock all the doors but keep the garage door open. Jo lived a blessed and storied life. She enjoyed knitting, the presence of family, singing hymns, an Orioles win, hanging by the pool, holiday gatherings on the patio, a few rip off tickets, and a cold banquet beer. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 974, Ladies Auxiliary, Fairview Twp. and a graduate of the former New Cumberland High School.

She was born June 24, 1930 in Clarksburg, WV to the late Harold and Lucille (Reese) Hein. She was also preceded in death by her husbands Silvanus Stoner and Calvin Walters; son, D. Scott Stoner; and two sisters, Ann Geary and Betty Faust.

She is survived by her sons, Stuart C. Stoner (Nina) of Lewisberry and R. Dean Stoner (Viki) of New Cumberland; five grandchildren, Marci, Andrew, Danny, Todd, and Steve; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 10am followed by memorial services at 11am Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland.
