Winifred Carvell Myers

Winifred Carvell Myers, 94, formerly of New Cumberland, died Monday, July 21, 2014, at the Middletown Home, Middletown. Having been born on July 25, 1919, in Mifflintown, the daughter of the late Oscar O. and Ella M. (Benner) Carvell, she passed just days prior to her 95th birthday. She was widow of George H. “Fox” Myers and was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, New Cumberland Woman's Club, V.F.W. Post 7415 Auxiliary, and American Legion Post 143 Auxiliary, all of New Cumberland. Winnie enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Elaine M. Dent officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
