Alison Marie (Tate) Haring

July 11, 1974 — October 27, 2025

Alison Marie (Tate) Haring, 51, of Enola, PA passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 27, 2025. After a seven-year battle with an aggressive breast cancer diagnosis, Alison is finally healed.

Alison was born in Gettysburg, PA, on July 11, 1974. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George E. and Doris P. Tate, as well as Floyd E. “Cookie” and Ellen M. “Sis” Cook. Alison spent much of her childhood with her beloved grandmother Sis, who was her lifelong best friend. Alison is now at peace, playing Scrabble and Chinese Checkers with her grandma once again.

Alison was a graduate of Gettysburg Area High School, Class of 1992. Shortly after graduation, she began working at Francis for Ford, which later became Sutliff Capital Ford, in Harrisburg, PA. It was there that she met her soulmate and future husband.

Alison devoted several years to the car dealership business before beginning a career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 2014 at the Department of Labor and Industry. She later joined the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission in 2018, shortly before receiving her diagnosis.

Despite her ongoing battle with cancer, Alison remained resilient and continued to work every day she could. She balanced numerous chemotherapy and radiation appointments over the years, yet stayed strong and dedicated, always committed to serving the people of Pennsylvania.

To know Alison is to love Alison. She left a lasting impression on every person she met and was an inspiration to many. Her laugh was contagious, her smile instantly brightened any room she entered, and her strength encouraged countless others to continue their own battles against their diagnoses.

Alison is survived by her cherished husband of nearly 24 years, Jeremy A. Haring of Enola, PA; her parents, Philip G. Tate of Orrtanna, PA, and Mary E. “Betsy” (Cook) and Wallace M. Kane of Orrtanna, PA; her three children, Jeremy A. Haring Jr. of Falling Waters, WV, Olivia F. Haring (Ryan Kreiser) of Enola, PA, and Xander J. Haring of Enola, PA; one brother, Kevin P. Tate (Renée) of Camp Hill, PA; and her darling granddaughter, Margot E. Kreiser.

She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends, all of whom she deeply loved and who returned that love abundantly.
