A devout Christian, he enjoyed sharing his faith with others, welcoming the opportunity to pray with, or for others.  He attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church.  Al grew up hunting and fishing which sparked his love for the outdoors.  His most recent passion was riding motorcycles with his best friend, Jack Strohecker.  He recently retired as the Care Facilitator from Community Aid. A graduate of Halifax High School, he attended MTA where he received his HVAC Certification.  He previously worked at Fruehauf, Morrison, Inc, and Halifax Area School District where he served as Director of Buildings and Property for over 18 years.  Al loved his family and friends passionately and had a positive effect on the lives of countless people.

He was born August 26, 1958 in Wellsboro, PA, to Gloria Fenstermacher and the late Claude Whitteker.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his other mother, Joanne Fuhrman, brother-in-law, Christopher Lee, and father-in-law, Carl Poffenberger.
