Anne Marie Walsh

Anne Marie Walsh, 88, of 26 Meadow Dr, Green Lane Farms, Camp Hill, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, East Pennsboro Twp. 

She was a substitute teacher with the West Shore School District, a graduate of Holy Family High School, New Bedford, MA and earned her BS in Education from Bridgewater State Teachers College, Bridgewater, MA.  Anne was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, New Cumberland and its Little Flower Club and the New Cumberland Army Depot Women’s Club.  In addition, she was an active volunteer with Holy Spirit Hospital and as a polling precinct official. 

Anne was born in New Bedford, MA, the daughter of the late Leonard and Mabel (Downey) Mason. She is survived by her husband of more than 64 years, Lawrence W. Walsh; sons, Dr. Timothy Walsh, MD (Regina) of Mechanicsburg, PA, Lawrence Walsh (Kelley) of Mendham, NJ, Dr. Daniel Walsh (Katie) of Knoxville, TN, Dennis Walsh (Laura) of Stafford, VA and Kevin Walsh of Camp Hill; eleven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. 

Anne was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy in life was spending time with family, no matter the occasion: sporting events, graduations, holidays, family dinners.  She was the family historian who never forgot a family friend or distant relation. She spent her life in service to others, whether it was for her family or her many volunteer positions. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA with the Rev. Jonathan Sawicki as Celebrant.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 am Saturday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
