It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony E. Dichard, age 68, of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, who departed this life on May 9, 2026. Born on March 31, 1958, to the late Wanda (Kearns) Dichard and John C. Dichard, Anthony was a beloved brother and a cherished friend to many. He was known for his warmth, humor, and the ability to connect with others, making him a true "people person."
Anthony’s career as a welder allowed him to showcase his exceptional skills, and he took great pride in his work. Beyond the workplace, he was fond of fishing, and enjoyed long rides on his bike, finding peace in nature. His passion for hunting brought him closer to friends and family, and he often shared these adventures with a group that adored him. Anthony was also a veteran of the US Army. His dedication to his country will never go unnoticed.
A man of simple pleasures, Anthony found joy in life’s little moments - whether it was sharing a cold Coors Light with friends or immersing himself in the country music he loved. His infectious laughter and light-hearted spirit made him a goofball in the best sense; he had a remarkable ability to brighten the day of those around him.
Anthony is survived by his dear sisters, Michelle (Curt) Schoppert, Annette Paddock and Miriam Petrillo and many nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his dear brothers Rowland Cutter and David E. Dichard.
He is also remembered fondly by many friends whose lives he touched deeply.
Services will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family.
