Betty Jane Miller

Betty J. (Sprenkle) Miller, 96, of New Cumberland, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 in her residence with her family at her side.

She was a retired Linotype Operator with Camp Hill Art Press, New Cumberland and a member of Lisburn Church of God and Fairview Twp. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Betty enjoyed picnicking, boating and socializing at her riverside camp property on the Susquehanna River; watching NASCAR races; and shopping, especially QVC.

Betty was born in Pleasant Grove, Newberry Twp., York County, PA, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Catharine (Idail) Sprenkle and was the widow of Mervin R. Miller. Additionally, she was preceded in death by brothers, Gerald, Donald, Robert, Alvin and Benjamin, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Dennis L. Miller and wife Sally of Forest Hills, CA and Ronald L. Miller and wife Joan of New Cumberland; sisters, Dottie Barbush of Harrisburg, PA and Pauline Auchbaugh of Punta Gorda, FL; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, May 20, 2022 in Paddletown Cemetery, Newberry Twp., PA. There will be no viewing or visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Betty’s memory to Amedisys Hospice Care, 2708 Commerce Dr. Suite 300, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
