Betty Jane Myers, 101, of Lewisberry, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Transitions Skilled Nursing, Duncannon. One of eleven children, she was the last living child of the late John and Lillian (Monroe) Ehman, born on April 30, 1923, in New Cumberland.
A graduate of the former New Cumberland High School, Betty had an eye for detail and took great pride in cleaning the Pine Street office for Capital Blue Cross for 25 years. During her tenure, she also held the unofficial title of “party planner,” taking it upon herself to cook and furnish elaborate holiday office parties. In retirement, she continued to clean homes for several personal friends and clients.
Betty was easy to get along with, and that stemmed from her inherent way of putting others first. If you needed a ride or were down on your luck and needed a place to stay, the door to Betty’s car and home were always open. Feisty and independent, up until last year she hosted family get-togethers and holidays at her Lewisberry home. Her sense of humor and zest for life will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her sons, Gary S. Keller and Lee E. Myers, both of Lewisberry; grandchildren, Lindsey Keller, Nathan Keller, Jason Keller and Shane Keller. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Edward Keller and Kenneth Myers; and sons, David Keller, Stephen Keller, Greg Myers and Mark Myers.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Betty’s final resting place will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
