Bonnie E. Brubaker

Bonnie E. Brubaker, 71, of New Cumberland died Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Holy Spirit Hospital.
She was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School. She retired from Prudential Insurance (Mechanicsburg) as an Assistant Office Manager and was co-owner of Poor Richard's Auto Sales in New Cumberland for thirty-five years. A woman of Faith, she was very active in her church, Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland having taught Sunday School and served on the board. She was also a member of the Republican Committee of Fairview Twp. She enjoyed painting (artwork), spending time with family and friends, reading, shopping, travelling, making flower arrangements and music (especially Christmas music). Her husband expressed that Bonnie always put other people first in her life.
She was born June 1, 1942 in Mechanicsburg to the late Herbert L. and Dorothy E. (Reese) Brightbill. She was also preceded in death by a sister Nancy Favasuli and grandson, Richard V. Brubaker III.
She is survived by her husband Richard V. Brubaker, daughter Amy Jo Austin (Creston H. Austin II) of Dunlap, IL, four step-children Richard V. Brubaker, Jr. (Vicky) of Mechanicsburg, Stephanie Miller (James) of Middlesex, Kelly Ann (Mike) of Mechanicsburg and Terry R. Brubaker of Carlisle. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and nine grandchildren, Ava, Creston H. III, Tiffany, Kyle, Samantha, Ronnie, Ashley, Ricky and Chad.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland with The Rev. Donald Slaybaugh, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
