Brian K. Shaffer, 56, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at his residence. He was the son of Leona (Miller) Shaffer and the late Donald R. Shaffer, born on May 18, 1965 in Harrisburg.
Brian was a 1983 graduate of Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School, and he would go on to work in automotive sales. He was currently a salesman and finance manager with Zimmerman’s Automotive, Mechanicsburg. Brian was active in the Order of DeMolay, serving as PA State Master Counselor in the mid-1980s, and he was a Mason – a member of Abraham C. Triechler Lodge No. 682, F&AM, Elizabethtown. He enjoyed working, and he would give it his all each and every day. He was a lifelong Philadelphia Flyers fan, and a lover of animals. He had many dogs throughout the years, particularly Scotties. Brian had a great sense of humor and quick wit; and though he cared for all those around him, above all else, he always made sure his mother had what she needed in life.
Surviving Brian is his mother, Leona M. Shaffer of Mechanicsburg; a brother and his wife, Jeff and Esther Shaffer of Penbrook; nephews and a niece; six great-nieces, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Shaffer in April of 2010.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Community United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Union Cemetery, Liverpool.
