Our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many, Brock K. McCracken, 58, of Mechanicsburg, passed away suddenly on September 14, 2026, leaving behind broken hearts and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his wife of twenty-six years, Tracy L. Howes McCracken; his beloved daughter, Delaney Reece McCracken; and his three loyal dogs, Tasha, Klay, and Jax.
Born on March 7, 1968, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Brock was the son of the late Byrd and Marjorie (Emery) McCracken. His life was defined by unwavering determination, a deep love for his family, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for his work in the dental industry.
Brock was a proud graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, Class of 1986. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. A skilled and passionate commercial airline pilot for several years, Brock eventually joined his family’s practice at McCracken Family Dentistry, where he learned the dental trade. His career later led him to Progressive Dental Concepts, where he worked his way up to Chief Operating Officer and ultimately served as President of Acquisitions.
Brock’s entrepreneurial spirit and innovative mindset inspired him to launch several companies throughout his life. He embraced opportunities, built meaningful relationships, and approached every endeavor with determination and a desire to create something lasting.
Family was his entire world, Brock was pre-deceased by his sister, Becky Davids of York, PA and is survived by his siblings: Dr. Mark McCracken and his wife, Cheryl, of Mechanicsburg; and Dr. Kirk McCracken and his wife, Dr. Gerry McCracken, of Dillsburg and Brother-in-law John Davids of Glenrock, PA. Brothers we will forever be!
Brock also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews, including Kristen (Dave) Del Grosso, Kortney (Chad) Milligan, Chelsea McCracken and husband, Brent Miller, Kathleen McCracken, Connor McCracken, Chaus (Lindsay) Davids, and Ben (Andrea) Davids.
Beyond his professional life, Brock had a genuine passion for cars. He spent countless hours under the hood, tinkering, creating, and sharing his love of automobiles with a forever friend, Scott Kendall. He also enjoyed working with toys and wood, building things with his hands, and taking pride in the finished product and did so right along with his best brother friend, Keith Barefoot.
Brock will be remembered for his determination, creativity, generosity, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends and co-workers. He lived life fully, embraced every challenge, and left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 5:00–7:30 PM at Parthemore Funeral Home (New Cumberland, PA)
In celebrating Brock’s life, we honor a man whose love, hard work, passion, and remarkable spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His memory will forever be cherished, and his legacy will continue through the family and friends he loved so deeply.
In lieu of flowers, the Family asks that you make a donation to local charity of your choice in his name.
