Carole M. Buxton

Carole M. Buxton, 84, of Hanover died Friday, June 12,2026 at Cross Keys Village, New Oxford.

She was a retired Customer Service Agent from Delta Airlines. A 1960 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, she was raised on a 150-acre farm. One of the benefits of her employment at Delta was the ability to travel inexpensively throughout the world with her husband and son. Carole could spend hours tending to her garden and was a great cook.

She was born March 23, 1942 in Mifflintown to the late Samuel and Ida (Moyer) Zimmerman. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Phyllis A. Sallee and Gladys V. Porter.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Buxton; son, Rodney W. Buxton (Elizabeth) of Ashburn, VA; brother, Ira F. Zimmerman of Mifflintown; grandchildren, Emily, Rachel, and Ryan; great grandchildren, Mark and Lyla; and four nieces.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30am Tuesday, June 16th at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
