Charles L. Cenkner

July 9, 1937 — February 16, 2021

Charles L. Cenkner, 83, of Shipoke, Harrisburg died Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital.

He was the retired owner/operator of Mark Charles Associates and prior to that was a Vice President with Ingersoll Rand Corporation. He was active with Rotary, most recently West Shore Rotary. He was a Paul Harris Fellow, Past District Governor, and Past President of Colonial Park Rotary. He was active in Masonic Organizations, Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks; and Boy Scouts of America.

He was Founder, Past President, and Treasurer of Harrisburg Cosmopolitan Club which was instrumental in creating Setebaid Camp in Selinsgrove to benefit children with Diabetes. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church.

He was born July 9, 1937 in Monessen, PA to the late Stephen and Dorothy (Purks) Cenkner. He was the widower of Marilyn L. (Stemple) Cenkner.

He is survived by two sons, Charles L. Cenkner, Jr., Ph. D. of Harrisburg and Mark E. Cenkner of New Oxford; brothers, Donald Cenkner of Dublin, GA and The Rev. Dr. Thomas Chadwick of Jenkintown; sister, Arlene Blyler of Levittown; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Charles’s Life will be held at a time and location to be announced.
