Cheryl S. Lehmann

Cheryl S. Lehmann, 77, of Mechanicsburg, passed away at her residence on Sunday, May 26, 2024, with family by her side. She was the daughter of the late George F. and Nancy E. (Livingston) Sellmeyer, born on August 26, 1946, in Harrisburg.

A 1964 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, she would go on to become a Registered Nurse, graduating from Geisinger School of Nursing. She put her degree to good use, spending her working career at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, until having her first child in 1981.

Cheryl was a strong Christian, living her faith each and every day. She and her husband have been longtime members of Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill, where Cheryl led the Victory Seekers Cancer Support Group for more than 24 years. Above all else, family meant the most to her, and nothing brought her happiness more than watching her grandchildren grow.

Surviving Cheryl is her husband and best friend of 56 years, Richard A. “Rick” Lehmann; her children, Andrew P. “Andy” Lehmann (Lindsey) of Waxahachie, TX, and Kristen E. Luther (David) of Atco, NJ; six grandchildren, Jaxon, Elise and Charlotte Luther, and Olivia, Zoey and Eliana Lehmann; a brother-in-law, John Shuey; and a niece, Amy Gainor (Jon). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Suzanne Shuey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill, with a time of visitation running from 12:30 PM until services begin in the church. A recording of Cheryl's service can be viewed here. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
