Connie L. Gruber

Connie L. Gruber, born July 8, 1944, was the daughter of the late Owen and Constance (Bradigan) Rimel. Connie passed from this life leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Connie’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother, stepmother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose presence brought love, memories, and connection to the lives of those around her.

Connie also had a compassionate heart and a deep desire to help others. She spent countless hours of her free time volunteering with CONTACT Helpline, giving her time and compassion to those who needed someone to listen. Her dedication and many years of service were recognized when she was honored with an award for her years of devoted service. Her willingness to be there for others was a beautiful reflection of the caring person she was.

She is survived by her children: Jo Ann, Robert (Lori), and Jami (Jeff).

She is also survived by her stepchildren: Deanna (Jay), and Kenny (Mary).

Connie leaves behind many grandchildren who will cherish the memories they shared with her: T.J., Dustin (Susie), Jacob (Joni), Robbie (Kate), Jacqulyn (Andrew), Abby, Heather (Shane), Erika, Sabrina, Autumn, Emaleigh, Selena, Renee, Danielle (Harrison), and Zachary.

She was blessed with great-grandchildren who brought another generation of love into her life: Jane, Cecilia, Axell, and Charlotte.

Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jay E. Gruber; her beloved grandchild, L.J. Miller; and her beloved brother, James O. Rimel Sr.

Though Connie is no longer physically with her family, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will continue through every generation that follows. Her kindness toward others and her dedication to helping those in need will remain an important part of the legacy she leaves behind.

Her family will remember her not only for the years they were blessed to have her, but for the lasting place she holds in their hearts.

Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

May she walk the streets of gold, reunited with her loving husband, brother, and those who went before her, and rest peacefully in eternal love.

Services for Connie L. Gruber will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Yocumtown Church of God, 160 Red Mill Rd, Etters PA,17319. A visitation will begin at 11:00am, followed by a memorial service beginning at 12:00pm.

Family and friends are welcome to come together to honor Connie’s life, share memories, and celebrate the love and legacy she leaves behind.
