Dale William Fohl, Jr., age 90, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025. Born on June 22, 1935, in Harrisburg, PA, to the late Dale W. and Anna (Derrickson) Fohl. Dale lived a life full of love, dedication, and service.
Dale graduated from Gettysburg College and devoted over 35 years of his career to AMP, Inc. as a District Sales Engineer in the electrical parts manufacturing industry. A proud veteran, he served in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant after enlisting on February 27, 1958, and being honorably discharged on July 30, 1962. Dale was a passionate outdoorsman who loved spending time at his cottage on Stony Creek, snowmobiling, hunting, boating, and working on projects around the house. He took joy in washing cars, shining shoes, and loved nothing more than to spend time with his family, who were his pride and joy. A member of the Robert Burns Lodge #464, F.&A.M., Harrisburg Consistory, and the Zembo Shrine, he was actively involved in his community and dedicated to helping others.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce (Engle) Fohl, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage, and their three children: Lizabeth (Michael) Yohe, Laura (Geoffrey) Minter, and Dale (Laura) Fohl, III. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Brett, Morgan, Victoria, Michele, and Olivia, as well as a great-grandfather to his cherished great-granddaughter, Elaine Minter and one on the way. Dale is also survived by his sister, Barbara Herman.
Services will be held privately at the families convivence, he will be laid to rest with honors at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
