Darcy Elaine Lodge

Mar 5, 1946 — Jun 7, 2026

New Cumberland

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Darcy Elaine Lodge, who entered the gates of heaven on June 7, 2026, at the age of 80.

Darcy was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and source of strength to all who knew her. She had a gift for making people feel welcomed and loved, and her kindness, wisdom, and caring nature touched countless lives. Her genuine laughter and ability to light up a room was legendary.

Born on March 5, 1946, in Cambridge, Ohio, Darcy lived a life centered on family, faith, hard work, and compassion. She retired from the West Shore School District. Whether she was traveling, going on cruises, volunteering at her church, hosting family get-togethers or enjoying her massive cow collection, she brought warmth and dedication to everything she did.

Above all, Darcy cherished time spent with her family. She celebrated life’s milestones, offered support during tough times, and created memories that will be treasured for generations. Her laughter, advice, and unconditional love will remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Cabot O. Lodge of New Cumberland, PA, her children, David A. Daniel (Lisa Christianson) of Mayo, SC, Jon C. Lodge (Kristin) of Bellefonte, PA, grandchildren David C. Daniel (Cara) of Mechanicsburg, Kayla Daniel (Journey Anthony) of Whiteford, MD, Brittani Christianson (Anthony Puccio), of Bryceville, FL, Laura and Makena Lodge of Bellefonte, five great-grandchilden, and her sister Patty Arnold of Cambridge, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, James L. and Elizabeth E. Daniel and a brother James H. Daniel.

While our hearts mourn her loss, we are grateful for the years, memories, and love she shared with us. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the friendships she cherished, and the lives she touched.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on July 11, 2026, at Vibrant Church, 1775 Lambs Gap Road, Mechanicsburg, PA. Sharing, and light refreshments will follow. In lieu of flowers please donate to a cause that was dear to Darcy’s heart, the mission field at Vibrant Church.

“Those we love do not go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near.”
