David J. Douville

Mar 17, 1955 — Jul 18, 2026

Lewisberry

David Douville, 71, of Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 17, 1955, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, David was the son of the late Jeffrey and Elinor Douville. He graduated from Brownsville High School in 1973 and went on to become self-employed OTR tire specialist. As the owner and operator of Ord's OTR Tire Service, he built a respected career through hard work, dedication, and exceptional service.

David was an avid hunter for more than 50 years and was well known throughout the waterfowl hunting community. He proudly served as Field Marshal for Sean Mann Outdoors for 10 years, was a member of the Final Approach Pro Team, and served as Past Chairman of the World Goose Calling Contest in Easton, Maryland. He also judged numerous goose calling competitions over the years. Earlier in life, David earned the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout, he also was a Troup leader for Troup 312.

Above all, David cherished his family. He was the devoted husband of Julie (Carter) Douville for 41 wonderful years. Together they raised two children, Scott Douville and Monica Douville (Troy Geist), and were blessed with their beloved grandson, Caden Douville.

David was a passionate Pittsburgh sports fan who faithfully cheered on the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. He loved spending time at the beach and vacationing in the Caribbean with a drink in hand, but he was just as happy traveling anywhere the hunting was good. He had countless friends, a larger-than-life personality, and was often the loudest person in the room, bringing laughter wherever he went. His generous heart extended to all living creatures—he would stop to help any animal crossing the road, whether it was a deer, a snapping turtle, or even a snake.

In addition to his wife, children, and grandson, David is survived by his brother, Thomas Douville and his wife, Susan and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeffrey and Elinor Douville, and nephew T.J. Douville.
