David Unsworth, 66, of Etters, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2026. Born on January 17, 1960, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Kenneth Unsworth. Surviving is his mother, Nancy (Witherson) Unsworth, his wife, Kelly (Eckert) and their two children, Jordan (Jade) Unsworth and Jenna (Michael) Henshaw. His three grandchildren, Josie and Kendall Unsworth. Madison and baby boy Henshaw on his way. Three incredible sisters; Diana (Marshall) Davis, Jody (Barry) Schaefer and Linda (Doug) Moats. In-laws Les and Althea Eckert. Many nieces and nephews. Also, his Great Dane buddy, Apollo.

He was a 1978 graduate of Camp Hill High School and a graduate of Penn State - Harrisburg. He then went to work for Gannett Fleming in Camp Hill, PA for over 40 years.

David was known for his witty sense of humor and one-liners. He was gentle and a kind-hearted soul and always kept his family and friends laughing. You could always find him on the sidelines of his children’s soccer games cheering them on. The Unsworth house was the place to hang out, he was “dad” or “Mr. David” to his children’s friends that knew him.

He loved following and keeping up with the Steelers, Pirates and Penn State. He enjoyed watching old Westerns and Turner Classic Movies. He was an avid member of VFW in New Cumberland, Post 7415 and had many close friends there. He was also a proud Marine dad (Jordan).

He was so loved and will be missed by his family and his many friends.

A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 7415, September 5, 2026 from 1 to 4 pm.
