Deborah “Deb” L. Kehres, 75, departed this world peacefully in her sleep on November 25, 2025. She will be reunited with the love of her life, Bill Kehres who preceded her in death on July 17, 2024. Born on September 21, 1950, in Greensboro, PA, Deb lived a life filled with kindness, warmth, and love for her family, friends, and her cats, Barney and Princess.
Deb had a distinguished career as a Claims Administration Manager for York Hospital. Her dedication to her work was only superseded by her love of family. It was important to her that all around her felt cared for, whether with food, drink or a loving hug.
Deb earned her bachelor's degree from Penn State University and maintained a lifelong passion for learning, often immersing herself in fiction books. A gifted cook, she poured her heart into every meal and delighted in feeding her family. She was the consummate hostess, waiting on those around her and ensuring everyone had more than they would ever need. Deb enjoyed her time spent watching television shows and enjoying movies at the theater, always ready to discuss her latest favorites with family.
Once a year, she loved preparing for the Crockett Family reunion in West Virginia, and it showed as you needed a moving company to unload her car. She consistently brought warmth and joy to every occasion.
Deb is survived by her stepson, Ken Kehres and wife Tracy; stepdaughter, Christine Rodriguez; 5 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; brothers, William and Thomas Crockett, nieces, Kim Swartley, Sherry Baumgartner, nephew, Glenn Hoffer, and a large contingent of nieces and nephews that brought her tremendous joy. Her family will carry her loving spirit forward, remembering the beautiful moments shared and that love that will always be Deb. She is also preceded in death by her parents, W. Warner Crockett and Esther (Evans) Crockett; 2 brothers, Ronald and James Crockett; and a sister, Dorothy Hoffer.
Deb’s viewing will take place on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral at 11:30 AM at Parthemore Funeral Home. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research in honor of Deb’s courageous battle.
