Diane C. Brokenshire

Diane C. Brokenshire, of New Cumberland, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 in Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg.

She was a retired manager with AT&T and a graduate of Muhlenberg High School, Muhlenberg, PA and Goucher College, Towson, MD.  She was an active member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church Camp Hill where she served on various committees and established the Brokenshire Family Camp Fund in memory of her parents and her dearest brother Laury which enabled the youth of the church to go to camp and travel on Mission trips.  She was a member of the New Cumberland Council of Republican Women, New Cumberland Olde Towne Association, Telephone Pioneers of America, American Business Women’s Association, Camelot Chapter; and served the community for 16 years on the New Cumberland Borough Council and for 13 years with the West Shore Recreation Commission.  Diane will be sorely missed by her many friends and anyone who made her acquaintance. 

In addition to her many friends, she is survived by her best friend Garry A. Murray of Camp Hill.

Diane was born in Hazleton, Luzerne County, the daughter of the late James and Claudia (Gibbon) Brokenshire.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 5 pm on Monday, October 2, 2023 in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1610 Carlisle Rd. Camp Hill, PA 17011 with the Rev. Lois Van Orden, her pastor officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time in the church.  Private burial will be held in Laureldale Cemetery, Reading, PA.
