Donald E. Lysle

Donald E. Lysle, 84, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on May 26, 2026 with his wife by his side. He was born on October 16, 1941, in Harrisburg, PA to the late Dean F. and Alice A. (Smith) Lysle. 

Don was a graduate of New Cumberland High School, Penn State Mont Alto, and Forestry School. He began his career serving 7 years as a Park Superintendent with the PA Bureau of State Parks. After that he spent the remainder of his career working in different areas of business.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting but his passion lie in volunteering to organizations close to his heart like the Salvation Army, PA Clean Ways, and Clinton County Clean Scapes. 

Don is survived by his best friend and wife of 60 years, Brenda (Butz) Lysle. He is preceded in death by his parents and many friends.

A graveside service will be held at Trindle Springs Cemetery on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Donald Potter officiating. He was a member of Camp Hill Presbyterian Church, in keeping with his giving nature - donations in lieu of flowers are requested to the church.
