Donald R. Breach

July 2, 1956 — October 13, 2022

Donald R. Breach, 66, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Don was a retired paving supervisor, first as an owner/operator of Breach’s Paving in Harrisburg, for more than 20 years, and then retired from the Pennsy Supply Company in Harrisburg, after another 20 years of service. Don served his country for over three years in the United States Marine Corps, and as a veteran, transferred his passion for service to his friends, neighbors, community and anyone who could use his help or assistance. He was a member of the Progress Fire Company Home Association and the VFW post 730, both in Harrisburg.

Don continued his passion for service, providing diligent and empathetic care for stray and household animals. He was an avid Harley rider, but more than anything, he loved his time with his family, especially with his granddaughter, Dani.

Don was born in Harrisburg, the son of the late Donald C. and Janet (McCord) Breach.

He is survived by his Life Partner of more than 25 years, Susan L. (Kuchma) Kuba, daughter Rena Savage of Mechanicsburg, son Ryan Brackbill of Harrisburg, and his beloved granddaughter, Daniele Kruger.

In keeping with Don’s wishes, there will be no formal memorial or burial services. Inurnment will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp., PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Don’s memory be given to the Humane Society of the Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Road Harrisburg, PA 17111.
