Doris F. Redmond, 99, of Lower Allen Township, died at her home on July 6, 2025.

She was a member of St Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, and has been a member of the Council of Catholic Women and of the Arimatheans.

Doris was born in Meadville, PA on June 29, 1926, to George and Mary (Nageotte) Findlay. She graduated from Meadville High School on. She worked as a switchboard operator at American Viscose. She worked at the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association and Diocesan Publications as a proof-reader. She volunteered her time at The Nearly New Shop. If asked what her interests were, she would say, "Family, Family, FAMILY!"

Surviving are two sons, Robert Redmond and wife, Tammy, of Harrisburg and Matthew Redmond of Camp Hill; two daughters, Lucy Redmond-Hall of Enola and Molly Ashenbaum and husband, Bryan, of Las Cruces, NM. Grandchildren are Trevor Yamada and wife, Breanne, of Phoenix, AZ; Christina Kittrick and husband, Timothy, of Denver, CO; Paige Wetzel and husband, Collan, of Carlisle; James Redmond of Harrisburg; Sophia Ashenbaum of Las Cruces; Jacquelyn Green and husband, Josh, of Camp Hill; Alison Russaw, of Mechanicsburg; and Amanda Chilson and husband, Aaron, of Carlisle. Great grandchildren are Everleigh and Charlotte Wetzel of Carlisle; Amelia Yamada of Phoenix, Noah and Henry Green of Camp Hill; Taylin, Makenzie, Felicity and Freya Russaw of Mechanicsburg; and Octavia Chilson of Carlisle. Also surviving are brothers, Paul Findlay and wife, Katie, of Ashtabula, OH; John (Jack) Findlay and wife, Nancy, of Woodstock, GA; and James Findlay of San Rafael, CA.

Doris was Aunt Dō to over 30 nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are her foster family, Betty Eck and her children, Jason, Corie and Angie and their families of York, PA.

She is preceded in death by husband, Donald G. Redmond; siblings George Findlay, Jane Kelley, Wilma Simmons, Richard Findlay, David Findlay, Margaret Kilburn, and Mark Findlay; granddaughter, Jadyn Ashenbaum; and foster son, Charlie Eck.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, July 14, 2025 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA with Fr. Jonathan Sawicki as celebrant and Rev. Michael McFadden as concelebrant.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070; or the Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania, 5031 West Ridge Road, Erie PA, 16506-1249.
