Douglas Clemens, 76, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. He was born on August 11, 1949, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, to the late Ruth (Plasterer) Clemens and William Clemens. He lived a life centered on family, hard work, and service to his country.
Douglas proudly served in the United States Army and was awarded two Purple Hearts for his service. After leaving the military, he worked for 36 years at the Army Depot as a woodworker, a job he truly enjoyed and took pride in.
He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time on the open road with friends. Douglas also enjoyed many good times at the American Legion, Post 143, where he shared stories, laughs, and friendship. Working alongside his father building homes helped shape his strong work ethic and love for family. Douglas also enjoyed skydiving and was also apart of the U.S Army Parachute team.
He was married to his wife, Susan (Brodbeck) Clemens, for 27 years. Together, they built a loving family and shared many special memories.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; his sons, Douglas Clemens, Jr. and Jacob Clemens; his daughter, Sheila Clemens; his stepchildren, Shawn Brodbeck, Jennifer Dillon, and Jessica Brodbeck; his brother, Steven Clemens; his sister, Cynthia Shay; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Douglas will be remembered as a devoted family man with a kind heart and a welcoming presence. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the love and stories shared by those who knew him.
The family will announce funeral services and ceremonies in honor of Douglas at a future date, when loved ones will gather to celebrate his life and the profound impact he made on everyone around him.
