Douglas G. Tierney

Douglas G. Tierney, 59, of Lansdale, previously of Mechanicsburg, died Thursday, October 19, 2017 at his home.

He was a Workers’ Compensation Supervisor for Patriot National Risk Services. He enjoyed golfing, coaching, and spending time with family and friends.

In the past, he was a member the Lower Allen Parks and Recreation Board and played an integral role in establishing the park in Sheepford Crossing. Doug was a member of the Harrisburg Claims Association. He also enjoyed his position as a key member in the Kid’s Chance organization. With this organization, Doug helped provide scholarships and other assistance to kids whose parents had been killed or injured in a work-related accident.

He was born December 22, 1957 in Ridgewood, NJ to the late Justin and Jean (Daly) Tierney.
He is survived by a daughter, Allison E. Calderon (Daniel) of Camp Hill; son, Patrick T. of Mechanicsburg; brother, Justin Tierney (Joan) of Sacramento, CA; and ex-wife, Elizabeth D. Tierney of Camp Hill.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
