Ed was born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania on 17 August 1954. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward F. Knoll and mother Eileen.
Ed leaves behind a sister, Gloria Knoll of New Cumberland, a brother, James Knoll of New Cumberland, a brother John Knoll and his wife Brenda of Middletown, Niece Rachel Knoll and wife Dana of Middletown, and many cousins in the Pottsville area.
Ed was born in Pottsville and grew up in the military living all over the world. Ed graduated high school in South Carolina and worked for the Defense Logistics Agency in New Cumberland retiring after more than 30 years of service. Ed was an avid golfer winning many tournaments. His most proud golf moment was when he won the 1997 Jake Gittlen Memorial Golf Tournament in Hershey.
Memorial service will be at the discretion of his family members.
