Eleanor Bachmeier Young

Eleanor Bachmeier Young, 92, a long-time resident of West Hanover Township, Harrisburg, died Oct 17, 2024 at Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg. She was born in Allentown, daughter of the late William C. and Ruth Bachmeier. Eleanor is predeceased by her husband David M. Young (2010), and brothers Donald E. Bachmeier and William C. Bachmeier, Jr. She is survived by children David Young (Lois) of Dillsburg, Linda Glunz (Gerard) of Harrisburg, Karen Christie (Scott) of Camp Hill, Vicki Kennedy (Patrick) of New Cumberland; grandchildren Theodore Young (Kimberly), Adam Glunz (DeAnn), Angela Markowitz (Seth), Laura Christie, Kevin Christie (Kristen), Gregory Potteiger (Gina), Wyatt Potteiger (Alexandria); and great granddaughters Lila Markowitz, Julia Markowitz, Kara Markowitz, Camilla Burks-Potteiger, Sienna Potteiger and Nora Christie. Eleanor retired from the Pennsylvania State Civil Service Commission. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Linglestown. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
