Esther Muriel Bratton of Camp Hill passed away on August 2, 2025, at Holy Spirit Hospital. She graced this world with her warmth and kindness for 88 wonderful years. Born on June 10, 1937, in Hillhead, Scotland, to the late John and Annie Watson (Milne) Robertson. Esther dedicated her life to caring for others as a talented nurse and midwife. Her compassion and unwavering spirit helped save countless lives, deliver many healthy babies, and left a lasting impact on both her patients and all who had the privilege of knowing her. A woman of many talents, Esther delighted in gardening, knitting, and sewing. She spent her days creating beautiful blankets and was renowned for her mouthwatering Scottish shortbread. Well into her later years, she remained vibrant and active, playing tennis until she was 75, showcasing her zest for life and determination.
Esther, or "Nana" as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren, cherished her family above all. She is survived by her devoted husband, Harvey Bratton; her cherished daughters, Amy (Ron) Harper and Kathryn (Brian) Humphrey; grandchildren, Andrew and Aydan Humphrey; brothers, Jack Robertson, Alan Robertson, James Robertson and sister, Margaret Dugid.
As we celebrate Esther's extraordinary life, we invite all who knew her to join us for a visitation on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 10:30 AM – 12 PM at Parthemore Funeral Home with a Memorial Service to follow immediately after. A reception will follow, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather in fellowship, remembering Esther's warm smile and her unwavering love.
