Esther May "Cookie" Smith

Esther May “Cookie” Smith, 76, of Dillsburg died peacefully Wednesday, December 27^th at her home.

A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War era, she was a retired Registered Nurse from UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.  She was a graduate of Greenwood High School, Millerstown and received her BS in Nursing from HACC and Penn State University.  She loved being with her family, NASCAR, and camping.

She was born November 5, 1947 in Liverpool to the late Charles and Doris (Craft) Rapp, Sr.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Kerstetter.

She is survived by her husband, Harrold M. Smith, Jr.; daughter, Stacy J. Neff (Daniel) of Lancaster; four stepchildren; siblings, Mary Jane Mitterling of Selinsgrove, Judy Nipple of Liverpool, Daniel Rapp of Duncannon, and Charles Rapp of Enola; grandchildren, Ethan, Judah, and Ezekiel; six step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 10:30 until funeral services at 11:30 Tuesday, January 2^nd at Franklintown United Brethren in Christ Church.  Burial will follow in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Newberry Twp.
