Eugene L. Zook

Eugene L. Zook, 91, of Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on November 4, 2025. Born on December 2, 1933, in Fairview Township, Pennsylvania, to the late Henrietta (Barrick) Zook and Arthur Zook, Eugene was a devoted son, loving father, and cherished friend to many. He proudly completed his education with a high school diploma and dedicated his career to serving as a plant operator. 

Eugene was known for his vibrant spirit and passion for life. He enjoyed attending auctions and yard sales, always on the lookout for hidden treasures. He collected buttons and other unique sewing items too. Eugene was a skilled carpenter and showed his craftsmanship in various projects around the home. 

His love for the outdoors was evident in his delightful walks through the neighborhood, where he was well-known as a social butterfly, engaging warmly with those around him. Eugene was actively involved in his community, most notably with the Lisburn Community Fire Company, where he proudly ran the ambulance service. 

 Eugene leaves behind his beloved family, including his sons, Larry, Gary, and Barry Zook, his daughter, Debra (Clinton) Nelsen, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Eugene is preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Updegraff) Zook, and his sisters, Dorre Kauffman and Ruth Stewart.

A heartfelt Cryptside Service will be held on November 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Rolling Green Memorial Park - Mausoleum. Prior to this, a public viewing will take place at Parthemore Funeral Home on November 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

In this time of sorrow, we invite friends and community members to come together to honor Eugene's legacy and celebrate the warmth, kindness, and love he shared with all of us. He will be greatly missed, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
