Gage Bomberger, 16, of Lewisberry, passed away at home on November 1. Born April 12, 2010, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of James and Sonja (Rist) Bomberger.
Gage attended Red Land High School. He enjoyed his classwork and had a deep interest in history, math, and outdoor sports. Gage participated in numerous youth sport programs in the York, Palmyra, and Harrisburg areas and was especially proud of being able to participate in a Pee Wee Quebec Tournament and a District Championship. He gained countless friends and family from all his classmates, teammates, coaches, and teachers.
Gage had a true love of the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, skiing and really loved to make campsites and cook meals over an open fire. Gage would also spend time reading, jogging, and working out. He enjoyed many summer days at his family river cabin with friends and family. We could always count on him to make us all laugh with his clever and witty sense of humor. Gage was especially proud of his creativity and was always designing and making things. He was a hard worker, and his family and friends could always depend on him. He was excited about his new job and was so proud to begin driving and buying his first car.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gregory and Sandy Rist.
He is survived by his brother (and best Bud) Reece; Paternal Grandparents, Tim and Debbie Bomberger of Lewisberry; Aunt Tanya Pechart (Michael) of Mechanicsburg; Uncle, Ed Rist (Angela) of Harrisburg; and cousins, Alyssa, Jake, Jared, Jesse, Trinity, and Mason.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Emanuel Cemetery. Fairview Twp.
In lieu of flowers, please take the moment to love and truly be with your family and friends. Be reminded of how precious and wonderful life can be. Just as Gage did for us. Gage will be deeply missed by his family, and our hearts are full knowing all who were blessed by being a part of his life.
