George C. Easterly, Jr.

George C. (Duddy) Easterly, Jr., 91 of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp. died Saturday, August 13, 2022 at his home.

An Army Veteran of the Korean War, 7th Infantry Division, He was a retired computer operator from the Commonwealth of PA, Dept. of Welfare. He was a member of Harry S. Truman Lodge 765, F&AM, East McKeesport, Scottish Rite, and Syria Shriners; East McKeesport Hilltoppers’s Post 8430, American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland, and 40&8 Voiture Local 269. He enjoyed numerous trips to Europe, hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and his cabin in Elk County.

He was born May 13, 1931 in East McKeesport to the late George C. and Edna Ethel (Zarobsky) Easterly.

He is survived by his wife, Marlyn A. (Everett) Easterly; son, George C. Easterly, III of Etters; daughter, Janet A. Mueller (Eric) of Etters; sisters, Arlee J. Smith of Farmington, CT and Helen M. Shearer of Trafford; grandchildren, Zachary Easterly of Hamilton, MT, Brock Easterly of San Antonio, TX, Marissa Cross of New Cumberland, John Mueller of Etters, and Madelyn Mueller of Etters; and great-grandson, William Latchford of New Cumberland.

Visitation will be from 11am until noon Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial with military honors will follow at 1pm at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
