Gilbert C. Anderson

Gilbert C. “Pete” Anderson, Sr. 90, of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp. died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at his home.
A WWII Army veteran, he was a retired Fleet Maintenance Manager from Pennsylvania Truck Lines. Prior to that he worked at Brenner Motors, Sutliff, BWT, Roadway, Rite Aid, and owned two Sunoco stations. He loved cars, especially Chrysler products.
He was born August 4, 1924 in Fairview Twp. to the late Watts and Elsie (Hoover) Anderson. He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldyne and son Curtis.
He is survived by five children, Gilbert C. Anderson, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Wendy M. Reed of Jacksonville, FL, Melissa M. Anderson of Dillsburg, Keith C. Anderson of New Cumberland, and Vanessa J.Anderson of York; a sister, Beulah Rudy and brother, Gerald Anderson both of Lewisberry; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 1:30 until funeral services at 2:30pm Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will follow in Slate Hill Mennonite Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
