Henry Casimir Daniels, Jr.

Henry Casimir Daniels, Jr., 69, of Fairview Twp., Lewisberry, died Saturday, May 27, 2023, at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital. Hank was born in Geisinger Hospital, Danville, on August 30, 1953, the son of the late Henry Casimir Daniels, Sr., and Mary (Fasolka) Daniels.

He grew up in Marion Heights and attended Mt. Carmel Area High School, graduating in 1971. He then graduated from Stevens Trade School with a Tool and Die degree. He later continued his education at Penn State University, receiving an Undergraduate Degree in Engineering.

He married Donna Whyne in 1978 in St. Peter & Paul’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel, PA. He is survived by Donna and their three children and four grandchildren. Daughter Erika Ann (Daniels) Yatsko and Husband Christopher with children Matthew Christopher and Cara Ann, Son Matthew Henry Daniels and wife Amy with children Christian Paul and Levi Henry, and Daughter Casey Marie Daniels, Ph.D., and partner David Muldover. He is also survived by his siblings Patricia Kee, Marlene Daniels, Sharon Murphy, Mary Ann Gregory, and Michael Daniels and extended family.

Hank was employed at the former Berg Electronics as a Tool and Die Maker, then at DuPont Electronics & Industrial as a Robotic Engineer. He then accepted employment at Ace True Temper as a New Product Engineer, where he received a patent for a Continuous Tine Rake. Years later, he purchased and became Owner of Northeast Pool Supply, running it as a family business until retirement in 2018 when son Matthew took over the family legacy.

He was a long-time member of St. Ann’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Harrisburg. He was instrumental in managing the Grove Bar for many years during the Annual Parish Picnic, bringing in much needed funds for the Parish and fun for the community.

Hank and his wife spent 45 wonderful years together, traveling, raising a family, running a successful business, and living life to the fullest. They made many happy memories through the years. Hank touched many lives and left behind many friends. His leadership of family events such as Velija dinners and Family Reunions at Knoebels will forever be remembered. We look forward to meeting him in Heaven when we have earned our place beside him again.

The Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 3, at St. Ann Byzantine Catholic Church, 5408 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, with the Rev. Father Taras Lovska, as Celebrant . The burial will be in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Newberry Twp.

The viewing will be held 5 – 7 PM Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne Byzantine Catholic Church, 5408 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17109-5526.
