Jane Mae Swope

Jane Mae Swope, 95, of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp. died Monday, February 16, 2026 at her home.

She retired from Gannett Flemming having worked as a Switchboard Operator and Secretary. She was an active member of Remnant Life Church, New Cumberland. She loved crocheting, crafts, fairs, and festivals.

She was born January 28, 1931 in Bradford, PA to the late George and Thelma Viola (Heimbach) Grant. She was also preceded in death by her son, Terry Simmons and sister, Jean.

She is survived by her husband, Charles M. Swope, Sr.; stepchildren, Charles Swope, Jr. of New Cumberland, Dawn Beaverson of Liverpool, and Renee Longenecker, (Bruce) also of Liverpool; daughter in law, Angie Simmons of Wyoming; granddaughter, Andrea Young and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Janes Life will be held at 1pm Saturday, February 28th at Remnant Life Church, New Cumberland.
