Jean Eloise Dolan

February 11, 1930 — August 27, 2021

Jean Eloise Dolan, 91, of New Cumberland, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at home, surrounded by her family. The daughter of the late Joseph and Ada (Danner) Rosenberger, she was born on February 11, 1930 in Grantham, Pennsylvania.

Graduating from Dillsburg High School in 1948, she would go on to work for Capital Engineering in Dillsburg where she met and fell in love with her husband, Robert. She quickly transitioned to homemaker, and would focus her efforts on raising their eight children. She was a dedicated and nurturing matriarch for her family, and they were always her first priority. She was a loving, caring, patient and wonderful mother, and she loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was the joy of her life. She was a beloved member of PA Bible Teaching Fellowship, Mechanicsburg, and it was her steadfast trust in God that was an example to everyone around her.

Jean is survived by her children, Elaine M. Schmidt (Nick) of St. Marys, OH, Catherine A. Fair (James) of Lemoyne, Robert J. Dolan (Diane) of Lemoyne, Gregory C. Dolan (Shirley) of New Cumberland, DeSales M. Noel (Timothy) of New Cumberland; Stephanie J. Murphy of New Cumberland, John Patrick Dolan (Dawn) of New Cumberland, and Amy E. Holjes of New Cumberland; twenty-four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Beverly Park, Barbara Trostle and Cheryl Gordon (Dick); and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert N. Dolan.

A public funeral service will be held at 10AM on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Immediately following services, a procession will depart for Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
