Joan Mary Ickler

Joan Mary Ickler, 92, of New Cumberland died Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Country Meadows in Mechanicsburg.

She was a member of Trinity Church of New Cumberland and enjoyed sewing and her family.

Joan was born January 5, 1932 in Philadelphia to the late Julius Peter and Anna (Balint) Cordes.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Walter; sister, Bonnie Scahill; brother, William Cordes; and great-grandchild, Shepherd Nichols.

She is survived by her sons, Matthew L. Ickler of New Cumberland, David A. Ickler (Cindy) of Camp Hill; daughter, Patricia A. Shelly (Edward) of New Cumberland; grandchildren, Jennifer Hoff (Kris), Gregory Ickler (Jessica), Kimberly Nichols (Andrew), and Rachel Arnold (Jeffrey); great-grandchildren, Morgan Ickler, Emleigh Ickler, Olivia Arnold, Maverick Arnold, Johannah Nichols, and Madeline Nichols.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
