Joann P. Sweigard

Joann P. Sweigard, 88, formerly of Linglestown, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024, with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Adam C. and Sarah P. Rutter, born on June 6, 1935, in West Fairview, East Pennsboro Township.

Joann was independent and hardworking all her life. She would work for 25+ years at TYCO, Harrisburg (formerly AMP Inc.), retiring from the Shipping and Receiving department.

She enjoyed traveling, rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies and gardening, but ultimately, her greatest happiness in life was spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is her son, Charles Ettinger Jr. (wife, Constance) of New Cumberland; and grandchildren, Diane Ettinger (husband, Joseph Gagliardi) and Charles Ettinger III. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all five of her siblings.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will take place in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
