Jody A. Weltmer, 62, of New Cumberland, PA, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at home. She was born June 22, 1963, in Mechanicsburg to Penny (Sandberg) Alexander and the late Carl E. “Toad” Weltmer.
A 1982 graduate of Camp Hill High School, Jody was a cheerleader in her youth and embraced life with enthusiasm. Following graduation, she spent a memorable summer living with friends in Ocean City, MD—a place that would capture her heart forever.
Jody held several jobs over the years, with a memorable few atop the list. She worked at a record shop in Camp Hill, Wall to Wall Sound & Video, that perfectly suited her love of music and fun personality. Most of her career, however, was spent in purchasing and logistics. She worked with KeyPro before dedicating more than fifteen years to Penn State Hershey Medical Center as a purchasing specialist. It was there that she’d form lasting friendships with coworkers, remaining close with them ever since.
Jody had an eye for beauty and nostalgia. She loved photography, created an extensive life-long music collection, was an avid movie buff, and especially enjoyed attending concerts and live music events—particularly when she could share those experiences with her son. She also loved estate sales, yard sales, and thrifting adventures. But Jody rarely shopped just for herself. She was a “thoughtful thrifter” in many ways, priding herself on the little treasures she’d find for others.
She found joy in life’s quirks and comforts. She loved even numbers, absolutely hated beans of every kind, adored her dogs, and spent years happily raising ducks. She was also a die hard Steelers fan. Above all else, though, Jody was devoted to her family. She was a loving daughter and an incredibly supportive mother to her son, Jordan, who was truly the center of her world. She encouraged him to try new things, signed him up for every camp imaginable, and faithfully attended every sporting event and performance. She wanted nothing more than for him to become the very best version of himself, and she was his biggest fan every step of the way.
Jody’s beautiful spirit and authentic nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving Jody is her son, Jordan Trevino of Harrisburg (supported by Elena Rossetto); her mother, Penelope Alexander (John) of Boiling Springs; a stepmother, Janet Weltmer of Etters; siblings, Wendy Marquardt (Greg) of Phoenixville, Geoff Weltmer (Johanna Jones) of Carlisle, Kelly Curtis of New Cumberland, Sharon Weltmer of Etters and Kristen Pelliccia (Jose) of Lancaster; a great-aunt, Helen Myers; aunts and uncles, Barry Weltmer (Joanne); Arthur Weltmer (Jackie), Kathy Weltmer of Middletown; many nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend, Samuel Maurer. In addition to her father, Jody was preceded in death by two sets of grandparents, Robert and Betty Sandberg, and Carl and Leona Weltmer; a great-uncle, Maynard Myers; and an aunt and uncle, Jackie Adkins and Michael “Mick” Weltmer.
A public visitation will be held from 10AM until a memorial service begins at 11AM on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Immediately following the service, from 12:30-2:30PM, friends and family are invited to gather at the West Shore Theatre for a reception.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Jody’s name to a One Dog at a Time, an animal rescue group near to her heart.
