Joe Pierce Morgan, 90, of Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill, PA entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was a graduate of the Williamsport Technical Institute, now Penn State’s College of Technology. He retired after 37 years of employment as a Mechanical Engineer, Machine Product Division, for Amp Inc., Harrisburg; A U.S Army Korean War veteran; a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Lemoyne; VFW Post 7530, Lower Allen Twp.; Perseverance Lodge #21, F. & A.M., Harrisburg; Harrisburg Consistory; a lifetime member of American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg. He was a former member of the Keystoners Drum and Bugle Corps of the American Legion Post in Milton, PA.
Born on May 26, 1933, in Milton, PA, he was the son of the late Joe and Maude T. (Thelma) Morgan. He was also preceded in death by brothers Robert and Donald Morgan.
Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Edith W. (Jones) Morgan; a daughter, Patrice J. Shepler of Camp Hill; a son and his wife, David B. and Renae A. Morgan of York; four grandchildren, Michael D. Morgan, Laura C. Morgan, Bridget A. Grissinger, and Brooke N. Grissinger; a brother and sister in law, Kenneth and Geraldine Morgan of El Dorado Hills, CA; a brother in law and his wife, George K. and Peggy Jones of Land O Lakes, FL; many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Lemoyne, with the Rev. George B. Scott officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the Church parlor.
Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
