John Samuel Clouser, 95, of Lewisberry, PA, passed away on June 28, 2026. Born on July 25, 1930, in Forty Fort, PA to the late Earl and Mina (Hager) Clouser.
John was a proud graduate of Altoona High School and devoted 32 years to the Navy Reserves, serving his country with honor. In his professional life, he found great fulfillment in his role as a production manager in the aviation industry at TRW, where he contributed to the manufacturing of essential jet airplane parts.
A dedicated member of Mt. Zion, John, was known for his unwavering faith, warmth, and generosity. His commitment to his parish made a significant impact on those around him. John deeply loved the outdoors, especially the water. Whether he was boating, swimming, or tending to his vegetable garden, he found joy in nature and shared it with his family by spending weekends at their cherished piece of land by Lake Heritage.
John's creative spirit shone through his woodworking projects, where he built beautiful pieces that his family will cherish forever. He enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, always bringing his loved ones together through shared experiences and laughter.
John leaves behind his loving spouse, Doris Clouser; his daughter, Christine (Tim) Leo; and his stepsons, Michael (Parris) and Jeff (Tara) Keating. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to several grandchildren who adored him. He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by his first wife, Kathryn, and stepdaughter, Jill Keating.
A viewing will take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 11AM-12PM at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 863 Lewisberry Rd, Lewisberry, PA 17339 with a funeral service will follow. Burial will take place at Mt.Zion Lutheran Cemetery behind the church at the conclusion of services. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The American Cancer Society.
