Joseph John Jacobs

Joseph John Jacobs, Jr. 83, of New Bloomfield peacefully passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026 at his home, surrounded by family.

A Marine Corp Veteran, he was a retired Plant Manager from Stroehmann Bakeries after twenty-nine years of service. In retirement, he enjoyed working part time for Karns Quality Foods. He thoroughly enjoyed the country life. With his wife and 3 daughters, he raised horses, beagles, basset hounds, steers, pigs and 2 goats for the grandkids. He also enjoyed gardening, family beach vacations, camping, and he always looked forward to his annual’ Smokin Joe’s’ Labor Day Weekend picnic.

He was born January 9, 1943 in Harrisburg to the late Joseph John and Elizabeth (Gehret) Jacobs. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Sandy Schuler and Joann Marsico.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Carol Ann Jacobs; daughters, Deana Blasiak (Dave) of Lehighton, Nikki Krasevic (Scott) of Shermans Dale, and Jodi Sheaffer (John Dietz) of New Bloomfield; brother, Terry Jacobs of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Morgan Richards, Collin Sheaffer, Danielle Krasevic, Mackenzie Krasevic, Brooke Christoff, Aubrey Scott, and Shae Blasiak; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 until memorial services at 6:30pm Thursday, September 17th at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
