Joseph Alan Waiwada, 57, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, died May 27, 2023, at his home.

Born on May 29, 1965, in East Pennsboro Twp., he was preceded in death by his father Joseph Waiwada, his mother Marie (Musselman) Waiwada, a sister, Kathy R. Waiwada, and a nephew.

Joe, known as ‘Big Show’ by his coworkers, was an employee at Estes Express Lines, York for 10 years, but was affectionately known as ‘Biscuit’ by his many friends at the New Cumberland VFW, the New Cumberland American Legion, and the ABC and Trindle Bowling Lanes. Joe was larger than life in stature and in character, a gentle giant with a large heart and welcoming smile.

Surviving are a brother Rick G. Waiwada (wife Karen Isenberg) of Shamokin Dam; sisters, Barbara A. Lathrop of New Cumberland, Lori A. Waiwada of New Cumberland; three nieces, two nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be hosted by the New Cumberland VFW Post 7415, 109 3rd St. New Cumberland, PA from 4-8 pm on Sunday, June 25, 2023.  Friends and family, please come and celebrate Joe’s life with us.
