Joy D. (Stevens) Frederico, 69, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her home on January 30, 2026. Born on October 10th, 1956, to the late Thelma (Hazzard) Dively and Albert Stevens Sr., Joy lived a life steeped in love and family. Throughout her years, she was a kind person, caring for everyone she could even when struggling with her own medical needs.
After receiving her GED, Joy worked at Footlocker in the logistics industry, where she retired. Outside of her professional life, Joy found true happiness in her passions. She loved treasure hunting at flea markets, where she collected porcelain figurines and crafting with her grandchildren. Her beautiful spirit shone through in the beautiful home she made for her family and friends.
Joy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her beloved soulmate and husband of 35 years, Charles Frederico; her sons, Michael Spoonhour (Susann) of New Cumberland and James Spoonhour (Shauna) of Enola; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who she treasured with all her heart. She is also survived by her siblings: Melissa Fulner, Faith Durgin, Daryl Stevens, and Christine Myers.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather; Raymond C. Dively, a sister; Arlene Still and brothers; Stephen Myers, Albert Stevens, and William Myers.
